Who We Are
Founded in 2008, the Grand Lake Yacht Club Sailing Foundation promotes
local, national and international amateur sailing, maritime education and
competition.
Through the support of generous donations, the GLYC Sailing Foundation
provides grant dollars as well as organizes it's own events each year.
Programs include community outreach, youth sailing education,
sailing equipment and facility provision, competition sponsorship,
and sailing programs for the handicapped and disabled.

New Foundation Fleet
Since the founding of the GLYC Sailing Foundation two years ago we have raised $75,000 from
the generous donations of hundreds of people. Last year, in addition
to regular grant programs the GLYC Sailing Foundation spent $55,300 to begin building a fleet
of boats specifically to pursue it's mission of sailing education and promotion.
These boats are being leased for use by the Grand Lake Yacht Club and the NSCD and will be used to
deliver a number of sailing education programs to children, adults, and the disabled. In addition the
GLYC Sailing Foundation has purchased a number of storage racks.
